Mo Fallah

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno. I received my Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My research interests include empirical corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, and private equity.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. Prior to joining the PhD program at UTSA, I worked as an investment analyst. I have also passed all three levels of the CFA program.

I am passionate about teaching finance and enjoy interacting with students. I have taught courses at undergraduate and graduate levels, both in online and in-person formats. I am a co-advisor of the Student-Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) at Fresno State with more than💲8.3 million 💵 under management.

My colleague Le Zhao and I co-organize the FREBL Research Seminar Series. The Spring 2025 and Fall 2024 schedules are below. Please contact us for more information or if you are interested in presenting your work.
